PCB and Advancecon to Jointly Develop RM1bil Silver Valley Technology Park (SVTP)
Bandar Meru Raya, 8th January 2024 – Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (’PKNPk’) had entered into a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with Perak Corporation Berhad (Perak Corp) to develop the Silver Valley Technology Park (SVTP) with a GDV worth of RM1.03bil.
Perak Corp had also entered into an agreement with Advancecon Holdings Berhad (‘Advancecon’) as a co-developer.
The development of SVTP in Kanthan, Chemor will bring in foreign and domestic direct investments (FDI) worth RM14 billion over the next five to 10 years.
Perak Chief Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad said the development of the area was also expected to provide 13,000 new job opportunities to the people of Perak.
Advancecon has 30 years of experience in providing infrastructure construction related services to reputable property developers.
During the event, there was an exchange of documents between PKNPk and Perak Corp and also Perak Corp and Advancecon. Through the signing of the JVA, the three parties will combine resources, expertise, skills, knowledge and capabilities in the development of SVTP.
“SVTP, which is strategically located between the Kanthan Industrial Park and Bandar Meru Raya, already has a supporting ecosystem including its proximity to existing basic facilities which also provides added value in attracting investors,” YAB Dato’ Seri Saarani told reporters after the document exchange ceremony.
