SILVER VALLEY TECHNOLOGY PARK (SVTP)
SILVER VALLEY is a conceptual “INDUSTRIAL CORRIDOR” that covers the whole state of Perak, where economic activities take place and, at the same time, a place for:
? attracting new firms and investment as sources of Perak’s continuous growth
? dynamic and enriching economic, technological, and talent development activities
Perak has always been at the forefront of development in Malaysia, at the centre stage of building the Malaysian economy in the country’s formative years. With such vast potential and a huge land bank, the coalition of Perak-based organisations is aiming to transform the state into the next industrial powerhouse. The Perak State Government launched the Perak Sejahtera Development Plan 2030, developed by Institut Darul Ridzuan (IDR) and the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN), to steer the government machinery in the state’s development for the next ten (10) years.
The plan, which is dynamic, inclusive and sustainable, is a continuation of previous development plans as well as taking into account other medium and long-term development plans at the Federal and State level. With the potential of over 2,752 acres of land banks, Perak Corporation Berhad (Perak Corp), a subsidiary of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak Group (PKNPk Group), have identified several strategic parcels of land with the potential to be developed into high-end, modern industrial parks, envisioning steady growth of the state economy. Perak Corp will be undertaking this project as the Master Developer, which allows for an enhancement of the value of the landbank within the SVTP development area. Key projects that will become among the principal drivers of the country’s future economic growth and social development will be taken on. The company’s significant role in SVTP is a continuation of its commitment towards the development of Perak State.
The SVTP will be developed in three (3) phases of industrial land covering the Kinta District, Perak, measuring 816 acres. SVTP is a human-centric and environmentally sustainable project that will enhance the liveability of Ipoh City to attract skilled talents of the future today. The SVTP will act as a catalyst for new job and business opportunities. The series of mixed industrial developments will suit different businesses, further driving the creation of thriving industry-led communities. The development is a full-fledged industrial township in SVTP, focusing on light to medium manufacturing-based industries to drive direct investments into development and generate socio-economic improvement, which is expected to be a high-impact project forming part of the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) initiatives.
Strategically located with easy access to PLUS Highway, Ipoh Cargo Terminal, Sultan Azlan Shah Airport, Penang Port and Port Klang, SVTP will also attract core technology clusters that are driving disruptive changes to markets worldwide. These would include Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Robotics, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Nanotechnology and Advanced Digital Analytics to support commercially-driven innovation development.
